The Parish of WESTOW in Ryedale North Yorkshire

 Recycling Collection Monday February 6th

Unfortunately the Council were unable to complete the recycling collection in parts of the Parish yesterday. We are advised that they will be unable to make a collection until the next designated date and residents should retrieve their bins and boxes from the roadside.

We are sad to report that the facility provided by Microsoft to develop this site is being withdrawn on March 31st. It is being replaced with a new service that would be financially prohibitive for the Parish Council to use. We will explore alternatives but do not expect to have a solution before the end of March.

Police are currnetly expressing a general concern about - thefts of scrap metal (including house and farm gates)

- unlicensed scrap metal dealers

- thefts from churches

- theft of bikes.

Although we are fortunate to live in a low crime area it is important that we remain alert to suspicious people and activities and report them to the Police.
